What is the ecological bonus and how to get it back?
The ecological bonus is a financial aid for the acquisition or leasing (long term or with purchase option) for a period of at least two years of a motor quadricycle meeting the following conditions:
- Be a new vehicle
- Not use a lead battery - Be registered in France in a definitive series - Not be sold within a year of its first registration or before it has covered at least 2000 km

The level of support for the ecological bonus that came into force from 1 January 2020 depends on the maximum net power of the engine.

AMI has a power of 6Kw and therefore fits into the following rules:
- Maximum net engine power equal to 2 kilowatts (EU regulation 168/2013) or 3 kw (directive 2002/24/EC)
- The amount of aid is 250€ per kWh of battery energy without exceeding 27% of the acquisition cost including VAT plus the cost of the battery if it is rented. The amount is capped at 900€.

Depending on the date of approval of the vehicle, the applicable European standard is Directive 2002/24/EC or EU Regulation 168/2013. Check the "Type-approval number" section (K) of your vehicle registration document to find out which standard it is approved to.

How to apply:
Applications for the ecological bonus and/or the conversion premium must be made within 6 months of the date of invoicing of the new vehicle. In the case of a lease, they must be made within 6 months of the date of the first instalment of the schedule.
